Box Office / Weekend of May 23 – 25

Indie’s latest adventure, Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, premiered with $101 Million over the weekend. The film does not deserve half of that take in my opinion and will assuredly drop a large portion of its audience by next weekend. The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a disappointment on almost every level. Second place this weekend was The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian which made $23 Million in its second week of release. In its fourth week of release, Iron Man was third over the weekend, bringing in $20.1 Million for a total of $252.3 Million. What Happens in Vegas, Speed Racer, Made of Honor, Baby Mama, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay and The Visitor rounded out the top ten respectively.
