CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER (2014) TV Commercial: Kid Gloves Go On

Captain America The Winter Soldier TV Commercial. The plot to the upcoming Captain America sequel should be familiar to most, by now, and regarded as noticeably darker than the original. For any comic book film fans noting a Nolanesque darkening of genre tones (figuratively and literally – considering the subduing of costume colors for both the Captain & the latest incarnation of Superman), worried that the days of taking kids to superhero movies may be over, there’s still some innocent fun to be had.

With the announcement of a partnership between Chevrolet and Marvel Entertainment, at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show, will likely come the usual high concept, flashy, and loud movie tie-in car commercial fare.

Well, don’t under estimate the power of the force, when wielded by a kid in a Darth Vader costume.

Chevy has followed up the unveiling of its Black Widow Corvette Stingray with a TV commercial, recreating a recent Winter Soldier trailer, but with an all kid cast. Personally, I’m hoping for a trend; but if the commercialized aspect undercuts the cutesy factor, for some, there’s always the send-up promo for the original Thor.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Frank Grillo, Maximiliano Hernández, Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford, Cobie Smulders, Georges St-Pierre, Hayley Atwell, Toby Jones, Dominic Cooper, Stan Lee, Jenny Agutter, Alan Dale, Emily VanCamp, and will be released in US theaters, through Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, on April 4, 2014.
