Cars 3 Trailers

Brian Fee’s Cars 3 (2017) teaser trailers stars Owen Wilson, Armie Hammer, and Cristela Alonzo. Cars 3‘s plot synopsis: “Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen (voice of Owen Wilson) is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves. To get back in the game, he will need the help of an eager young race technician with her own plan to win, inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, and a few unexpected turns. Proving that #95 isn’t through yet will test the heart of a champion on Piston Cup Racing’s biggest stage!”

The first teaser trailer is the best of the two teas trailers. The viewer is shown a race, the intro of antagonist Jackson Storm (Armie Hammer), and the epic crash of Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), the lead protagonist in the film.

The second teaser trailer for Cars 3 simply serves as an introduction to the film’s main characters: Lightning McQueen, Jackson Storm, and Cruz Ramirez (Cristela Alonzo). All sides of the cars are shown, the engines roar, and the cars peel out into blackness. It is truly a teaser trailer.

I have not seen the first two Cars films but I doubt that any of them were are visceral as the crash shown in the first teaser trailer for Car 3. Car 3 may be a new, more serious chapter in the Cars film franchise.
