DARK TIDE (2011) Movie Trailer, Poster: John Stockwell, Halle Berry

The Dark Tide Trailer and Dark Tide Poster have premiered. John Stockwell‘s Dark Tide (2011) movie trailer, poster stars Halle Berry, Olivier Martinez, Ralph Brown, Luke Tyler, and Thoko Ntshinga. Dark Tide‘s plot synopsis: “Kate Mathieson (Halle Berry), shark naturalist and documentarian, has been reluctant to re-enter the water since the tragic death of her mentor. Once renowned for swimming with Great White Sharks without the protection of a cage, Kate now spends her days giving mundane wildlife tours. However, the surprise arrival of her old partner and boyfriend, Jeff (Olivier Martinez), convinces her to face her inner demons and get back in the water with the fiercest of predators.”

This is one of the only shark movies (see the Bait movie trailer) that seems to try and the approach the genre differently. The sharks aren’t coming to people to kill and destroy, the people are invading their territory for study and recreation. Hopefully the story holds up beyond Halle Berry’s dialogue.
