HBO‘s Deadwood: The Movie (2019) movie trailer stars Ian McShane, Timothy Olyphant, Molly Parker, Dayton Callie, and W. Earl Brown. Deadwood: The Movie‘s plot synopsis: “the indelible characters of the show are reunited after a decade to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds reopened as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.”

I watched every episode HBO TV series this film is based on during its original run from 2004-2006. Each season was twelve episodes long and were filled with well-written drama.

Deadwood: The Movie also stars Kim Dickens, Dora DuFran, Brad Dourif, Anna Gunn, John Hawkes, and Jeffrey Jones.

David Milch wrote the screenplay for the Daniel Minahan-directed film.
