Dickinson‘s plot synopsis: “Created by television writer-producer Alena Smith (The Affair, The Newsroom), “Dickinson” is a historical coming-of-age half-hour comedy set in the late 1840s, and it chronicles the teenage years of celebrated feminist poet Emily Dickinson who finds herself wanting to shake the social norms of her times, sometimes at the expense of her frustrated traditionalist parents (played here by Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Jane Krakowski and Halloween’s Toby Huss).”
