Downton Abbey Season 6 Promo. ITV & PBS‘s Downton Abbey: Season 6 TV show trailer stars Zac Barker, Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, and Raquel Cassidy. Downton Abbey‘s plot synopsis: “The series, set in the fictional Yorkshire country estate of Downton Abbey, depicts the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants in the post-Edwardian era—with the great events in history having an effect on their lives and on the British social hierarchy.”

The series will pick up six months after the end of Series 5, in 1925, and follow with the years 1926, and 1927. The final episode ends on Christmas day, 1927. Rose Aldridge and Tom Branson have both moved to America. Tom and his daughter Sybbie Branson return for a visit.

Downton Abbey: Season 6 also stars Matthew Goode, Harry Hadden-Paton, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Lily James, Rob James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, and Lesley Nicol.
