FEAR THE WALKING DEAD: Episode 2.2: We All Fall Down: Trailer & Clips [AMC]

AMC‘s Fear the Walking Dead Season 2 TV show trailer & We All Fall Down clips. Fear the Walking Dead seems to have gotten off to another slow start; but a good trailer is like a good microwave – even rehash can seem appetizing, if you push the right buttons.

In this case, season 2 highlights seem to hit all the right notes, with zombie herd greeters on the shore, mass zombie mashing, power plays & coups, and seaborn marauders – i.e. pirates, baby (knock on peg-leg)!

I’d settle for just the pirates, up front  – anyone holding out for ninjas will have to settle for Strand’s (Colman Domingo) yuppie burglar getup – but I’m also encouraged by what appears to be glimpses of new cast members. How regular these newbies will be: no clue, at this point; but the show’s two most interesting characters (IMO), Strand & Daniel (Rubén Blades) were add-ons. Hopefully, tensions between the two won’t mean that we only get to keep one, before too long.

Those tensions are highlighted, as the pair share a little quality time, waiting for a Travis (Cliff Curtis) expedition to shore – the inherent risks of which could become something of a series feature, as long as they stay at sea.

Regular changes in settings & characters – by way of Star Trek away missions (including trips to parallel narratives) – could be just the distinguishing break FTWD needs from its namesake. Let’s see the birth of Z World by sea.

‘We All Fall Down’ also stars Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Frank Dillane, Lorenzo James Henrie, Mercedes Mason, and Arturo del Puerto. It airs Sunday, Apr. 17, at 9:00pm EST, on AMC.
