André Is an Idiot

Tony Benna directs this documentary about André Ricciardi, an irreverent advertising creative who learned he had terminal colon cancer, a disease that could have been caught earlier, and asked Benna to film the time he had left. Blending verité footage with stop-motion animation, it follows his final months. The film won the U.S. Documentary Audience Award at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival.
