Golden Globe Awards 2017 Winners

La La Land, Moonlight, The Night Manager, and the other winners of the 2017 Golden Globe Awards have been announced. The 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards “are presented annually by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) to recognize outstanding achievements in the entertainment industry, both domestic and foreign, and to focus wide public attention upon the best in motion pictures and television.”

La La Land set a record at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. La La Land won every category that it was nominated in. In total, La La Land won seven awards at the 74th annual Golden Globes. I have not had the pleasure of watching La La Land yet but after such a swiping win, I will be making the time in short order.

The other big winner of the night was The Night Manager.

I was glad to see Moonlight win Best Motion Picture. Like La La Land, Moonlight has been getting universally positive reviews.

I have seen Fences and Viola Davis is well-deserving of the Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture. I was surprised Denzel Washington didn’t get the win as well.

Zootopia winning Best Animated Motion Picture was a no-brainer.

The Crown was good, very good at times, thanks to John Lithgow‘s performance.
