H2: Halloween 2 (2009) footage via Entertainment Tonight has appeared online. Rob Zombie is directing H2: Halloween 2 (2009) with Tyler Mane (Michael Myers), Malcolm McDowell (Dr. Loomis), Scout Taylor-Compton (Laurie Strode), Chase Wright Vanek (Young Michael) and Danielle Harris (Annie Brackett) in their respective roles. The below footage is very encouraging and I am glad to hear Zombie was given full reign this time. I did not like the original Halloween 2 (1981) that much so I am looking forward to this even more so than Zombie’s first Halloween attempt. Everyone familiar with Zombie’s work knows the vast improvement of The Devil’s Rejects over House of 1000 Corpses. Applying that scenario to H2: Halloween 2 (2009), we may be in for something equally as great. Let’s be honest, it can not possible approach the disappointment levels Friday the 13th (2009) succeeded in reaching. Zombie has stated that the film will take place directly after the end of his remake, but will be presented through the eyes of Laurie Strode. Instead of focusing on Michael, Zombie says that the film will look more at the psychological consequences on Laurie after the events of the first film. As Zombie explains, two years after Michael murdered her friends and family, Laurie is a “wreck”, who continually sinks lower as the film moves forward.” H2: Halloween 2 (2009) is being released August 28, 2009.
