Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will reissue Oliver Stone‘s Academy Award Winning investigative film JFK in a 4-disc Ultimate Collector’s Edition box set later this year; it is already available for pre-order. The set includes a 44 page hardcover book of photos from the movie, a 32 page hardcover book of quotes from JFK, six character cards, a reproduction of JFK’s inaugural address, a reproduction of his campaign poster, 20 photos and 16 pieces of correspondence provided by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The contents of the discs are:

Universal Studios Home Entertainment also plans to release director Roel Reine‘s Dead In Tombstone October 22, 2013. The unconventional western stars Danny Trejo, Mickey Rourke, Anthony Michael Hall, and Dina Meyer. The Blu-ray+DVD+UltraViolet Copy combo pack will feature crisp 1080p and DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround sound; extras include director’s commentary, deleted scenes, deleted shots montage, a making-of, and the featurettes: Horses, Guns, and Explosions, Roel Reine: the Leader of the Gang, A Town Transformed, and Creating Hell: The Visual Effects.

Director Antonio Campos‘ psychological thriller Simon Killer (2012) will be released by British distributors Eureka Entertainment August 26, 2013. His controversial character study focuses on Simon, a handsome sociopathic American making his way through Europe with a mysterious young prostitute. Its themes of violence, overt sexuality, alienation, and hedonism resonated with critics worldwide.

Millennium Media will release the romantic comedy Stuck in Love (2012) October 8, 2013. Years past his divorce, a novelist continues to spy on his ex-wife, much to the dismay of his friend-with-benefits (and neighbor). His co-ed daughter is about to publish her first novel and embark on her first love affair while his teenaged son is also trying to make his way in the publishing world. All their trajectories collide with interesting results.

Music Box Films will release Alice Winocour‘s lush Belle Epoque tale Augustine (2012) on September 17, 2013. Set in Paris, the film recounts the story of teenaged Augustine, a kitchen maid given to pleasurable epileptic seizures. She is shipped off to a mental hospital where a doctor takes a special interest in her case, thus altering both their lives.

PBS will release a limited edition Blu-ray set of the first three seasons of Downton Abbey on October 1st. Downton Abbey: Seasons 1, 2, & 3 features nine discs and more than three hours of previously-released bonus content and includes an all new one hour documentary: “Secrets of Highclere Castle.”

Universal Studios Home Entertainment has announced an August 6, 2013 release date for the Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman post-apocalyptic sci-fi thriller Oblivion.
