Taylor Materne and Will Fetters wrote the screenplay for Hustle. Dan Deacon created the music for the film. Zak Mulligan crafted the cinematography for the film. Produced by Adam Sandler, Allen Covert, Joe Roth, Jeffrey Kirschenbaum, Zack Roth, LeBron James, and Maverick Carter.

Plot Synopsis

Hustle‘s plot synopsis: “After discovering a once-in-a-lifetime player with a rocky past playing in Barcelona, a down on his luck basketball scout (Adam Sandler) takes it upon himself to bring the phenom to the States without his team’s approval. Against the odds, they have one final shot to prove they have what it takes to make it in the NBA.”

Basketball Scout Defined

NBA scouts are professionals hired by NBA franchises to evaluate player talent or opposing teams’ preparation or strategies. A prospect scout typically looks for younger players with potential or existing players whose rights may be available through free agency or trade. An advance scout, however, helps prepare the team by studying the strategies or tendencies of opposing teams. Scouts travel extensively, attending basketball games to do these evaluations.
