IZOMBIE: The CW Orders a Second Season

The CW’s iZombie Gets Renewed for a Second Season. It looks like we will be seeing more of Liv Moore in the future as The CW has just ordered a second season of it’s new hit series iZombie. So get ready for a second course of the popular zombie show coming your way.

The renewal news (via Deadline) comes just after nine episodes as the show has been getting positive feedback from both critics and fans alike. The show may not be getting big ratings as other shows like it’s lead-in, The Flash, but it has been getting steady viewership since it’s run. Our guess is that the executives at the network were pretty impressed with what the show was offering and the loyal fanbase it has created, giving the show the respect it deserves by securing it’s place on the network for another year.

Based on the comic published by DC’s Vertigo imprint, iZombie stars Rose McIver as Olivia ‘Liv’ Moore, a over-achieving medical student who had a good life ahead of her…until the night she attended a college party that turned out into a zombie feeding frenzy. After coming back to life as the undead, Liv now works at the coroner’s office in order to control her urges of eating brains by eating dead ones in the morgue. Liv thinks she will live for eternity without hope or purpose, until she finds out that she has can peek into people’s memories with every brain she consumes. Using her newfound ability, she finds a new purpose in her undead existence helping solve crimes for the police.
