LITTLE FAVOUR (2013) Short Film Trailer: Benedict Cumberbatch Directs

 Benedict Cumberbatch Little Favour

Little Favour Short Film Trailer. Benedict Cumberbatch‘s Little Favour (2013) short film trailer stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Salmon, and Nick Moran. Little Favour’s plot synopsis: “LITTLE FAVOUR follows the story of WALLACE (Benedict Cumberbatch) when he is contacted by a former colleague to help him out with a deal gone wrong. ‘Its been 7 years since he left Her Majesty’s service and 10 years since the American Counter part who became his friend, saved his life on a joint mission in Iraq. He’s migrated his skill set into a lucrative business while managing to keep his secret battle with PTSD under wraps. One day, while finally deciding to try his hand at a functional relationship, his old friend JAMES cashes in his chip and asks a LITTLE FAVOUR. How could he refuse when he owes the man his life?”

In spite of his newfound fame after his spectacular roles in 2013, he has apparently found the time to star in a short film which was also produced by his company-Sunny March.

The 20-second teaser shows the bloodied, captured, and tortured Cumberbatch. A short film with such an interesting premise should be wholly satisfactory from start to finish. There aren’t many short films that have such an exceptional movie star. Little Favour was shot over a month under the direction of Cumberbatch. Other producers include Adam Ackland, Ben Dillon, and Adam Selves.

In 2013, Benedict Cumberbatch was introduced with a bang to mainstream Hollywood cinema through some spectacular productions like Star Trek Into Darkness, The Fifth Estate, and 12 Years a Slave. It really shows just how devoted, versatile, talented, and hard-working he is when it comes down to his craft. Could Benedict aim for more than just one Oscar in 2013? Could Little Favour take the Academy Award for Best Short Film? Judging by the trailer, the cinematography looks beautiful, the acting is solid, and the story feels intriguing. Regardless if Cumberbatch’s contribution to cinema this year gets appreciated properly by Hollywood, 2013 was a huge start for him in every way imaginable.
