The second movie trailer for The Lost City of Z (2017) for the James Gray directed film has been released. The first official trailer for The Lost City of Z showed the central drama for this film. This second trailer features that story-line plus multiple side storylines, including the one with Col. Percival Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) and his wife Nina Fawcett (Sienna Miller). The trailer begins with a voice-over by Ms. Fawcett, a pretty effective one.

Col. Fawccett is under the belief that finding The Lost City of Z will bring about a new truth for their society. In the trailer, some people seem to believe that assessment.

I can’t believe Col. Fawccett would go into such a desolate place without far more men, a operations center in the region, etc.  Fawcett was in the military. It would have behooved him to have treated the exploration like a military operation. Since the military in that time period is so dissimilar from the one in existence today perhaps he couldn’t treat it like a military operation.

Col. Fawccett was a brave explorer.

The Lost City of Z‘s plot synopsis, based on the book by David Grann: “THE LOST CITY OF Z tells the incredible true story of British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam), who journeys into the Amazon at the dawn of the 20th century and discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment who regard indigenous populations as “savages,” the determined Fawcett — supported by his devoted wife (Sienna Miller), son (Tom Holland) and aide de camp (Robert Pattinson) — returns time and again to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case, culminating in his mysterious disappearance in 1925.”

James Gray‘s The Lost City of Z stars Johann Myers, Frank Clem, Bobby Smalldridge, Devlin Lloyd, Michael Jenn, Siennah Buck, Tom Holland, Robert Pattinson, Angus Macfadyen, Daniel Huttlestone, Edward Ashley, and Stacy Shane.
