SERIES

The Westies
Premieres on Sunday, July 12, with two episodes.
The Westies is a gritty, kinetic crime drama centered on New York City’s infamously violent Irish gang of the same name. The series is set in the early 1980s, when the construction of the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the Westies’ home turf in Hell’s Kitchen promises a financial windfall.

Despite being outnumbered fifty-to-one by the Five Families of the Italian Mafia, the Westies’ legendary brutality and cunning have given them the leverage necessary to share the spoils through a fragile détente.

But internal conflict between the brash younger generation and the old-school leadership threatens to set this powder keg off, sweeping the Westies into the FBI’s ever-deepening investigation into the Italian mafia.

The series stars J.K. Simmons, Titus Welliver, Tom Brittney, Stanley Morgan, Sarah Bolger, Jessica Frances Dukes, Hamish Allan-Headley, Vincent Walsh, Allen Leech, and Hillary McCormack. Chris Brancato and Michael Panes are the co-creators and executive producers.

Episode 101: “The Troubles” – Sunday, July 12 at 9:00 PM ET/PT
The Westies’ fragile relationship with the Italian mob begins to unravel when Mickey Flanagan is released from Bellevue.

Episode 102: “The Houdini” – Sunday, July 12 at 9:00 PM ET/PT
Roarke and the Westies disappear a body and go on a crime spree to cover up the murder.

Episode 103: “The Starship” – Sunday, July 19 at 9:00 PM ET/PT
The Westies rob a Colombian disco in a desperate bid to free Flanagan from John Gotti’s grip.

Episode 104: “Favors and Funerals” – Sunday, July 26 at 9:00 PM ET/PT
Roarke and Sweeney clash over cocaine dealing. Sweeney is celebrated publicly, while privately, Gotti marks him for death.
