THE OVERNIGHT (2014) Red Band Movie Trailer: Adam Scott Finds Alternative, Swinger Lifestyle

Adam Scott and Taylor Schilling in The Overnight

The Overnight Red-Band Trailer. Produced by the Duplass brothers, Patrick Brice‘s The Overnight (2015) red band movie trailer stars Adam ScottTaylor SchillingJudith Godrèche and Jason SchwartzmanThe Overnight‘s plot synopsis: “Alex, Emily, and their son, RJ, have recently moved to Los Angeles’ Eastside from Seattle. Feeling lost in a new city, they are desperate to find their first new friends. After a chance meeting with Kurt at the neighborhood park, they gladly agree to join family pizza night at the home. But as it gets later and the kids go to bed, the family “playdate” becomes increasingly more revealing and bizarre as the couples begin to open up.”

I’m sold. I like Adam Scott and Jason Schwartzman, and I want to find out more regarding the events of the night displayed in the trailer. What else does the couple do? How to they deal with it? Is this good for their relationship? How serious is this movie? Are there significant moral dilemmas here? Is it funny? It seems funny.

According to Slashfilm’s Russ Fischer,

The Overnight is a wild, very funny caricature of the supreme awkwardness of allowing yourself to be truly vulnerable in front of the person you love the most

Sounds good to me. Have a look at the trailer and find out if you’re interested.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
