RAMPAGE (2018) Movie Trailer 2: The Rock’s Ape Friend Has Been Genetically Edited

The second movie trailer for Rampage (2018) has been released by New Line Cinema. The best part of this new trailer is when Dr. Kate Caldwell (Naomie Harris) asks Primatologist Davis Okoye (Dwayne Johnson) if he familiar with genetic editing. Why would he be? That has absolutely nothing to do with his field. One does not go into a film like this, pure popcorn, looking for logically dialogue. It will be functional, humorous, it will move the story along. That is what that like and all the others in Rampage do.

I have to admit though, this film looks to be more entertaining than the last King Kong film. It’s probably The Rock factor.

Rampage‘s plot synopsis: “Primatologist Davis Okoye (Johnson), a man who keeps people at a distance, shares an unshakable bond with George, the extraordinarily intelligent, silverback gorilla who has been in his care since birth. But a rogue genetic experiment gone awry transforms this gentle ape into a raging monster.

To make matters worse, it’s soon discovered there are other similarly altered alpha predators. As these newly created monsters tear across North America, destroying everything in their path, Okoye teams with a discredited genetic engineer to secure an antidote, fighting his way through an ever-changing battlefield, not only to halt a global catastrophe but to save the fearsome creature that was once his friend.”
