RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2011) Teaser Trailer: Rupert Wyatt, James Franco

James Franco, Rise of the Planet of the Apes

The Rise of the Planet of the Apes Teaser Trailer has premiered. Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) stars James Franco, Andy Serkis, Freida Pinto, John Lithgow, and Brian Cox. Rise of the Planet of the Apes‘ plot synopsis: “An origin story set in present day San Francisco, where man’s own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.”

This film looks really good. This science fiction film could actually be something really special if it has been handled properly. My favorite part of the Rise of the Planet of the Apes movie trailer is when Caesar (Andy Serkis) is given a pill then immediately sticks its hand back out of cage for another one, impatiently shaking its hand. Loved that. Its little, well-written moments like that which make a film great. This film seems far superior to previous Planet of the Apes films (Planet of the Apes, Escape from the Planet of the Apes, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, Battle for the Planet of the Apes, and Beneath the Planet of the Apes) starring Charlton Heston, James Franciscus, and Mark Wahlberg.
