Dexter Fletcher‘s Rocketman (2019) movie trailer stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Steven Mackintosh. Rocketman‘s plot synopsis: “The story of Elton John’s life, from his years as a prodigy at the Royal Academy of Music through his influential and enduring musical partnership with Bernie Taupin.”

Primarily taking place throughout the late 1960s and 1970s — and will also chronicle Elton’s infamous cocaine addiction period, the film also stars Jamie Bell (Snowpiercer, King Kong) as a young Bernie Taupin, the brilliant English music lyricist who became Elton’s longtime songwriting partner and who is famous for writing the lyrics for all of Elton’s greatest hits, including “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” “Bennie and the Jets,” and “Candle in the Wind,” among others.

Rocketman also stars Guillermo Bedward, Julian Ferro, Eddie Register, Jamie Bacon, Michel Alexandre Gonzalez, Alison Ball, and Luke White.
