Salvation lies in THE BOOK OF ELI Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer for The Book of Eli has been released and it looks as though The Hughes Brothers, Denzel Washington and Gary Oldmen may have a great film on their hands. If not, they at least have an entertaining one. After reading Cromac McCarthy’s The Road, I see certain similarities in both stories: ash, face masks, humanity on the brink of extinction, devastated city scapes, and fighting for survival in a  post-apocalyptic world. The Book of Eli is a “post-apocalyptic tale, in which a lone man fights his way across America in order to protect a sacred book that holds the secrets to saving humankind.” Check out the trailer below and leave your thoughts on it. The Book of Eli will be released on January 15, 2009.
