Shock and Awe Trailer

Rob Reiner‘s Shock and Awe (2017) movie trailer stars Woody Harrelson, James Marsden, Tommy Lee Jones, Rob Reiner, and Jessica Biel. Shock and Awe‘s plot synopsis: “The film is based on the true events of Knight Ridder journalists [Jonathan S. Landay and Warren P. Strobel] who were the only ones who “got it right” in the lead-up to the 2003 Iraq War when they questioned the true nature of the Bush White House’s justification for the conflict.”

Shock and Awe seems like a timely film with all of the international politics in the forefront of the media. I am not familiar with all of the reporters involved in the lead up to the Iraq War.

My question – how true is the story presented in this trailer and in this film?

Shock and Awe also stars Milla Jovovich, Richard Schiff, Gretchen Koerner, Terence Rosemore, Anthony Reynolds, Steve Coulter, Wayne Pére, Teri Wyble, Ava Knighten Santana, Stephanie Honoré, and Luke Tennie.
