Hans Herbots and Tom Shankland directed various episodes of The Serpent. Richard Warlow and Toby Finlay wrote the screenplay for the TV mini-series. Dominik Scherrer created the music for the TV mini-series.

Plot Synopsis

The Serpent‘s plot synopsis: “What does it take to catch a killer? Inspired by real events, THE SERPENT reveals the story of serial conman Charles Sobhraj (Golden Globe nominee Tahar Rahim) and the remarkable attempts to bring him to justice.”

The eight-episode thriller dramatizes the true story of infamous French conman and serial killer Charles Sobhraj who preyed on Western tourists throughout the Hippie Trail of Southeast Asia in the mid-1970s. Sometimes referred to as the Bikini Killer or the Serpent, Sobhraj committed at least a dozen murders throughout the regions of South Asia.
