TV Review: True Blood: Season 3, Ep.5: Trouble

True Blood: Season 3, Episode 5: Trouble was certainly one of the highlights of the season so far. The background the viewer gets on Eric Northman () and the King (Denis O’Hara) made the episode in my opinion. Seeing Eric holding his father’s crown and remembering his families death, brought his suppressed human feelings to the forefront. The scene was well shot at the end with the King in shadow, speaking Norse, then taking the crown from the werewolf. The werewovles kill by going for the throat so why couldn’t trained warriors defeat them? Just keep them off of your throat. Curious.

Bill (Stephen Moyer) not helping Tara (Rutina Wesley) was a shame but to be expected with his new attitude in the King’s Court. He shouldn’t have alluded to his true hand with Lorena (Mariana Klaveno) though. He should have waited just before the King had her killed.

Franklin (James Frain) crying over Terra trying to escape was hilarious. He is so crazy.

The ending of the episode was the second best part of it besides the Eric’s segments. Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) displaying her ability before the King of Mississippi, much to his laughing delight (“FANTASTIC. Ahahahahah”) was unfortunate. Now he knows Sookie’s power. I am looking forward to seeing what he does with that information.
