50 Most Disappointing Movies Of All Time: INDIANA JONES 4, ALIENS 3

Harrison Ford Shia LaBeouf Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

50 Most Disappointing Movies Of All Time. Total Film’s 50 Most Disappointing Movies Of All Time list is very entertaining. I do not agree with some of the included films but I can see the perspective of the person that put together this list. One appointee I totally agree with is the top film on the list: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (which I wrote about it here: Why Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull Sucked).

Similarly, I agree with Green Lantern being deemed disappointing and wrote about how the film failed to meet expectations here: Green Lantern (2011): 8 Reasons Why this Superhero Movie Failed. Many of the films on the list I heard were bad or I knew they would be from their trailers e.g. Catwoman, Speed Racer, The Tourist, etc.

  • Great list, I saw Avengers and was like “what?!” then I saw 1998, and went “oh yeah, that one” I did a similar thing with League of Gentlemen’s Apocalypse, thinking it was related to League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but that one showed up later in the list.

Out of the list, I did actually enjoy Alice in Wonderland, Speed Racer, and Once Upon a Time in Mexico. In fact, I don’t remember there being a whole lot of backlash against that one. I thought it was pretty good, but not great.

  • I never saw The Avengers. The trailer and commercials looked bad.

I think Sucker Punch and Jennifer’s body were funny.Superman was a complete disappointment and Indiana 4 destroys the saga.Shia LaBeouf, really?

  • I only saw the beginning of Sucker Punch. Just from that, i do not want to see the rest.

Superman Returns was not a “complete” disappointment but a disappointment. The deleted beginning was good:

Indy 4 should not even be part of the saga. The film was just awful in some parts with horrible, Shia LaBeouf CGi moments.

I liked “Troy” and “Promethous” though.

  • The director’s cut of troy is better than the regular version. Prometheus was average.
