AGENTS OF SHIELD: First Image of Matthew Willig as Lash [ABC]

First Look at Matthew Willig as Lash on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In the first trailer for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s third season, we caught of glimpse of the gruesome Inhuman Lash. We now have a first better look of Matthew Willig as Lash, and it looks like SHIELD may have some trouble ahead.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will start it’s third season tonight, but we aren’t sure if Lash will be making an appearance or not. Marvel (via ComicBook.com) finally gave us a proper look at the hideous character, who is still somewhat silhouetted but it does give us a better idea of what we can expect from this guy. It also looks like the show may be going for an accurate portrayal of the character based on what we are seeing now.

Regarding Skye’s first encounter with the character, Chloe Bennett spoke about how she felt when she first meets with Lash. “I think Raina was so shocking and Lash, he’s obviously even more shocking,” Bennet said. She also added:

I like to think that they’ve seen their fair of crazy shit and that’s just something that’s pretty insane but not totally mind-blowing. So much has happened, I don’t want to say that the team is jaded I think that there’s definitely like that, ‘Okay, that’s f*cking weird but let’s try and find him.’ I kind of think that’s more a let’s shake it off and find this guy and see what he’s up to, what he’s doing. For me, on set, when Matt walked on to set, honestly, me and Luke [Mitchell] and Henry [Simmons] had our jaws dropped. I actually think he looks even better in person than he does on camera. I wish everyone could see him in person, it’s just shocking.
