Conviction (2010) Movie Trailer

The Conviction movie trailer has premiered. Conviction (2010) is directed by Tony Goldwyn and stars Hilary Swank, Sam RockwellMinnie Driver, Melissa Leo, Peter Gallagher, and Juliette Lewis. Conviction‘s plot synopsis: “When Betty Anne Waters’ (Hilary Swank) older brother Kenny (Sam Rockwell) is arrested for murder and sentenced to life in 1983, Betty Anne, a Massachusetts wife and mother of two, dedicates her life to overturning the murder conviction. Convinced that her brother is innocent, Betty Anne puts herself through high school, college and, finally, law school in an 18 year quest to free Kenny”. This film looks fantastic. It reminds me a little of The Hurricane actually and a John Grisham book I read years ago, The Chamber. I can’t for this one.

I plan on going to see it when it comes out. I am debating on whether to see it by myself or with my family. I’m leaning towards by myself then to see it again with my family. Just the thought that the movie is coming out soon brings up some very painful memories. Even now as I sit here typing this it brings the tears streaming from my eyes. As for me I’m trying deal with with this one day at a time and with the help or anti-depressants. I have an emotional heart wrenching tie to this movie. I’m sure I will be a basket case when the movie ends. Only those who have gone thru this horrific life experience themselves, or have been involved with those who have can understand the emotional impact it holds for us.
