DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: New Footage Shown in First Trailer [The CW]

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Gets a New Trailer. The CW is looking to start the New Year with their latest superhero series DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash featuring a team of superheroes and villains. The network released a new trailer and a premiere date.

In the new trailer, we are given a glimpse into the future in London where Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) has already taken over the world and laid behind some destruction. Time traveler Rip Hunter (Arthur Davill) goes back to the present to recruit some heroes to help him stop the immortal being from global domination. The team includes The Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heatwave (Dominic Purcell), Firestorm (Victor Garber/Franz Drameh), Hawkman (Falk Henschel), and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). We get a mix of some old and new footage along with some references to a certain Man of Steel and a Dark Knight. Plus, the group will be getting some occasional help from the Arrow (Stephen Amell) and The Flash (Grant Gustin).

We also see The Atom shrinking and growing to fight minions, Captain Cold punching Ray in the face, Firestorm’s new costume, and the Hawks fighting Savage and themselves. We spot this unlikely group traveling through different time periods like the 70s. The group will also be messing with time and space as they try to right the wrongs in their past. The series will begin premiering on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 8PM.
