The Hobbit:  an Unexpected Journey is available on Blu-ray and DVD starting today.  The MGM Studios and New Line Productions collaboration debuted on Digital Download one week ago. The studios released the Blu-ray Combo Pack, the Blu-ray 3D Combo Pack, and the 2-Disc DVD Special Edition today with an extended release planned for the holidays. All physical disc versions of the movie will have the UltraViolet and over 130 minutes of bonus content. Purchase of the physical disc versions will net you the UltraViolet code to access Peter Jackson’s live streaming sneak peek event for The Hobbit:  The Desolation of Smaug, the sequel to The Hobbit:  An Unexpected Journey. Jackson will stream live content on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 3pm Eastern/12 noon Pacific; he will archive an edited version of the event on the Trilogy website.

Lincoln

DreamWorks Pictures will release on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital in North America next Tuesday, March 26th. The international Digital HD release date is April 24th with the international Blu-ray/DVD date set for May 8th. The Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Academy Award-winning film starring Daniel Day-Lewis, Tommy Lee Jones, and Sally Field will be available in several versions: 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack Super Set (Blu-ray + Bonus Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy), 2-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (Blu-ray + DVD) and 1-Disc DVD.

Les Miserables

Les Miserables will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and On Demand March 22nd. The star-studded, Academy Award-nominated, and Golden Globe-winning musical has been seen by more than 60 million people in 42 countries according to Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Les Miserables will be available in a Blu-ray combo pack with the Blu-ray disc, DVD, UltraViolet, and Digital Copy allowing cross-platform viewing. Both the DVD and Blu-ray have four main featurettes: The Stars of Les Miserables, Creating the Perfect Paris, The Original Masterwork: Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables, and Feature Commentary with Director Tom Hooper. The Blu-ray exclusives include: Les Miserables Singing Live, Battle at the Barricade, The West End Connection, and Les Miserables on Location.
