Fox‘s Gotham Arkham Review. Gotham City’s Podcast: The Gotham Podcast: Season 1, Episode 4: Arkham is an audio review in which FilmBook contributor Mike Smith discusses his reaction to the latest episode of Fox’s Gotham.

Gotham: Season 1, Episode 4: Arkham‘s plot synopsis (spoilers): “At Gordon’s apartment, Cobblepot states that the upcoming war will be for Arkham. Meanwhile, Councilman Ron Jenkins is approached by a hitman (Hakeem Kae-Kazim) who uses an armed telescope to kill him. Gordon learns of the Arkham Plan when he visits Bruce Wayne, where Alfred mentions that Falcone and Mayor James are backing the project. Maroni’s ally, Councilman Zeller, has been abducted by the same hitman who killed Jenkins and is burned alive at Arkham Asylum. Gordon tells Bullock and Essen that the Arkham District is a battleground between Falcone and Maroni. Upon visiting a prisoner who knows the hitman, Gordon and Bullock look for Richard Gladwell at an office building. As Gordon heads to the back, Gladwell works on his steel spike. Before Gordon could take action, Bullock calls him away to show him the files on Jenkins and Zeller, enabling Gladwell to flee. They find a paper that reads C.L.M. After an attack on Maroni’s restaurant by three masked men, Cobblepot is promoted to restaurant manager by Maroni, following his action of saving the money and the death of the previous manager. Bullock discovers that the real Gladwell has been dead for five years and the hitman was using his name. Gordon tells Bullock that they must find the hitman before the mob war erupts. Gordon figures out that Mayor James will be the next target and ends up in a fight with the hitman until Bullock arrives to back him up. The hitman is then gunned down by Bullock and Gordon before he can finish his job. Meanwhile, Mooney pits two female singers against each other for her nightclub job opening. A woman named Liza wins. Mayor James holds a press conference about the Arkham Plan. Falcone will handle small housing developments and Maroni will be refurbishing the Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, the three masked robbers that attacked Maroni’s restaurant were working for Cobblepot and are visited by their boss and killed by his poisoned canoli.”
