GOTHAM: Plans in Motion for The Court of Owls to Appear [Fox]

The Court of Owls

Bruno Heller Confirms Plans for The Court of Owls on GothamThe Fox series Gotham hasn’t been doing well lately when they introduce the criminals who would soon become Batman’s greatest foes. Well, things are about to change with the appearance of the Court of Owls.

During the second season premiere of Gotham, we were introduced to brother-sister duo Theo and Tabitha Galavan. While we don’t know what their ultimatum is, it’s obvious that they have big plans for Gotham City, but are they possibly working for the Court of Owls? Showrunner Bruno Heller neither confirms nor denies that assumption when he spoke with ComicBook.com. However, he did reveal that the secret society would be featured on Gotham really soon.

We are absolutely going to explore that world down the line. Looking at the longevity of the show, we have to hold some cards back, we can’t just throw all of the elements, all of the story at once,. The long arc of the show is Bruce Wayne’s journey of discovery down into the depths of the physical and meta-physical world of Gotham. The Court of Owls is a brilliant conceit that will absolutely be part of our storytelling. I just won’t tell you when.

It’s anyone’s guess if the Court of Owls would show up in season two, but there’s so much that the series can do with them, especially since they have existed for centuries before Batman showed up. This mysterious group was made of some of the oldest and wealthiest families of Gotham using their power and influence to control the city.
