The House Trailer

Andrew Jay Cohen‘s The House (2017) movie trailer stars Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, Jason Mantzoukas, Ryan Simpkins, and Allison Tolman. The House‘s plot synopsis: “After Scott and Kate Johansen (Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler) lose their daughter Alex’s college fund, they become desperate to earn it back so she can pursue her dream of attending a university. With the help of their neighbor Frank (Jason Mantzoukas), they decide to start an illegal casino in the basement of his house.”

The film look funny as hell. At first I thought this film would be comedic formula drivel but it is not. I smiled multiple times and laughed out loud towards the end of the trailer.

This film looks like a hit, thanks in large part to the comedic duo of Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler and the writing by Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien. Ferrell and Poehler really play off of each other well.

Jason Mantzoukas is also excellent, adding to the on-screen shenanigans perfectly, sometimes trumping the duo.

The House also stars Andrea Savage, Rob Huebel, Kathy Corpus, Michaela Watkins, Sam Richardson, Andy Buckley, Cedric Yarbrough, Lennon Parham, Tara Phillips, and Angela Nordeng.
