Hurricane of Fun: The Making of Wet Hot Trailer. Amy Rice‘s Hurricane of Fun: The Making of Wet Hot (2015) movie trailer stars Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Christopher Meloni, Amy Poehler, Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, Molly Shannon and Joe Lo Truglio. Hurricane of Fun: The Making of Wet Hot‘s plot synopsis: “In 2000, David Wain and Michael Showalter set out to make their first film Wet Hot American Summer. It was a low budget independent film and they cast their friends and a handful of unknown actors – many who were just starting out in the business. When it was originally released in 2001 it was panned by critics. Since then the film has become a cult classic and those friends have gone on to become some of the biggest names in comedy. During the original shoot, director Amy Rice had unprecedented access and shot over 25 hours of behind the scenes footage. None of this footage has not been seen until now.”

I’m a die-hard David Wain fan, and love everyone on this cast. They’ve been in projects individually and together for years and are so endearing and charming and funny that I’m the first one in line to watch their material. Ken Marino, for example, is one of my favorite comedic actors of all time, and he started here. A young Bradley Cooper made his first movie with these guys. Paul Rudd, now global superstar thanks to Marvel, was just another cog in the machine of funny here, and you can truly tell how close everyone bonded on set here. That’s why this is going to be the first thing I watch upon finishing the new Netflix series, set before the original film. I can’t wait to watch these home-movies, of funny, kind friends, living in summer camp, trying to make a movie.
