MORTAL KOMBAT: LEGACY: Season 1, Episode 9: Cyrax and Sektor

Shane Warren Jones, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, 2011

Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Season 1, Episode 9: Cyrax and Sektor has premiered. Episode 9 of Kevin Tancharoen‘s Mortal Kombat: Legacy (2011) stars Shane Warren Jones, Peter Shinkoda, Darren Shahlavi, Serge Houde, and Colin Foo. Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Season 1, Episode 9’s plot synopsis: “Cyrax and Sektor are chosen to be the future of the Lin Kuei by the Grand Master, but Cyrax is less than enthusiastic about giving his life over to a cybernetic transformation that will erase his memories and turn him into the ultimate fighting machine. When he discovers that the cyborg he is fighting seems closely familiar, Sektor must keep Cyrax focused on destroying Hydro, and not himself or their future…”

Cyrax being chained and forced into a cyborg incarnation is the best drama aspect of this episode but Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Season 1, Episode 6: Raiden is still the best episode in the series. From IMDb, it looks like Mortal Kombat: Legacy: Season 1, Cyrax and Sektor was supposed to be a two parter but I guess they ran out of budget funding.
