Specter is Alone in the Dark

Actress, model and rising celebrity Rachel Specter has joined the cast of the straight-to-video sequel to Alone in the Dark. Alone in the Dark 2, which is being produced by Uwe Boll, will be released in 2009. Alone in the Dark 2’s other cast members include Lance Henriksen, Danny Trejo, Natassia Malthe and Rick Yune.

The plot of Alone in the Dark 2 “tells the story of Edward Carnby [Rick Yune], who joins forces with a team of witch hunters to track down the dangerous witch Elisabeth Dexter.” The first Alone in the Dark was not a note-worthy horror film but its sequel does have an above average cast and since Boll is not directing (Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer, who wrote the first film, are directing this time), it actually has a chance of being decent.

Rachel Specter might seem familiar to some since she recently appeared in the remake of Prom Night (2008), a series of television advertisements for RGX body spray and co-hosted segments of Attack of the Show in 2007.
