SUICIDE SQUAD (2016): Will Smith Talks About Playing Deadshot and Working with Jared Leto

Will Smith Discusses Playing Deadshot and Working with Jared Leto on Suicide Squad. It’s safe t say that everyone is excited to see Suicide Squad next year, especially to see Will Smith tackle on the role of Deadshot. The actor talked about the experience and working with Jared Leto.

While promoting the release of his new track in ten years, Will Smith talked with Beats 1 radio on his role as Deadshot in David Ayer’s new film Suicide Squad. He also touched upon working with The Joker himself, Jared Leto even though they haven’t spoke much off set. “I’ve never actually met Jared Leto,” Smith admitted. He also added:

We worked together for 6 months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ We’ve never said ‘Hello,’ we’ve never said ‘Good day.’ I’ve only ever spoken to him as Deadshot and him as the Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’ Not a single word exchanged off camera. He was all in on the Joker… I’m looking forward to meeting him.

Will Smith may actually be referring to Jared’s method acting, which his other co-stars touched upon in past interviews. Hopefully we get to see these two make some great chemistry on-screen. What do you guys think?
