SUPERGIRL: Calista Flockhart to Return as Cat Grant in Season Two [The CW]

Calista Flockhart Cat Grant Returns Supergirl

Calista Flockhart Returns as Cat Grant for Supergirl Season Two

The boss is about to make a comeback! After announcing the return of Superman earlier this week, another piece of news broke revealing that Calista Flockhart will also be making a return to Supergirl during it’s second season for a mini arc. This should please fans of the character.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Calista Flockhart has been confirmed to reprise her role as Cat Grant, Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) former boss and mentor during the final two episodes of the The CW hit series. We didn’t get any plot details regarding the reason for her return, but she will be appearing in the last two episodes of the second season, which air on May 15 and 22.

We haven’t heard much from Ms. Grant since her departure from the series after the second episode of this season. She told Kara at the time that she wanted to move on and take on new challenges outside working at a media company. This move came just after Flockhart accepted a recurring status for her role after the show moved production from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Due to travel restrictions, it wasn’t possible for Flockhart to make the move but at least we will be getting more of her before the season is over.
