TOMORROWLAND (2014): Kathryn Hahn Joins George Clooney in Tomorrowland

Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn has joined the cast of Tomorrowland. Brad Bird directs the Disney science-fiction adventure movie. George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, and Britt Robertson are starring in the picture, which is currently shooting in Vancouver. Disney describes the story as centering on a “bright, optimistic teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor jaded by disillusionment who embark on a danger-filled mission to unearth the secrets of an enigmatic place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory as Tomorrowland.”

Character descriptions are being kept secret but it has been revealed that Hahn is playing a character named Ursula in what is described as a funny, scene-stealing role. George Clooney will be playing the “former boy-genius inventor” and Roberston plays the “bright teen.” Country-singer Tim McGraw will also be joining the film in a small undisclosed role.

Principal photography has already begun on the Disney movie. Damon Lindelof and Jeffrey Chernov are producers on the film. The screenplay is written by Brad Bird and Damon Lindelof from a story by Jeff Jensen, Lindelof, and Bird. Jensen and John Walker will executive produce. Bernard Bellew and Tom Peitzman (a VFX producer) will serve as co-producers.
