Glenn Fleshler

Ray Donovan, Jane The Virgin, Hannibal, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on Showtime, The CW, and NBC.

Ray Donovan (Showtime)

Katie Holmes will appear in a major guest starring role in the highly anticipated third season of the hit SHOWTIME drama series RAY DONOVAN. Holmes will play shrewd and chic businesswoman “Paige,” the daughter of billionaire producer Andrew Finney (Ian McShane), who enlists Ray’s services.

Power (Starz)

Jerry Ferrara has landed a co-starring role in the upcoming second season of Starz’s drama series Power…Ferrara…will play Joe Proctor, a successful attorney with a dark secret.

Devious Maids (Lifetime)

Original Devious Maids cast member Brianna Brown is returning to the Lifetime series as a regular in the upcoming third season, reprising her character as beautiful trophy wife Taylor Stappord. Brown co-starred in the pilot and on Season 1 where her character was ultimately shot and lost her baby. Brown made a guest appearance in Season 2, in which Taylor revealed that she and her husband were moving to Washington DC.

Criminal Minds (CBS)

Tyler James Williams…is set to co-star opposite Gary Sinise in CBS’ Criminal Minds planted spinoff.

Williams will play the sweet and incredibly smart Monty. As the team’s tech analyst, Monty stays at home while the team works abroad. His attention to detail and kind manner are invaluable as he liaises with the families of those in trouble and uses his tech savvy to help the team fill in the holes as they search for a killer far from home.

Brothers In Atlanta (HBO)

Brothers In Atlanta, a new comedy pilot written by and starring former Late Night With Jimmy Fallon writers/performers Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin

Maya Rudolph and actor-musician Jaden Smith are set as guest stars opposite Riddle and Salahuddin in the pilot, which will be directed by Tim Story. Brothers In Atlanta is a comedy about struggling entertainers and best friends Langston (Riddle) and Moose (Salahuddin) trying to navigate relationships and life in the black Mecca of Atlanta. An Atlanta native, Langston is an aspiring DJ whose career has stalled due to his lack of focus and his get-rich schemes. New to Atlanta, Moose is a perennial backup singer with dreams of the spotlight, who keeps his foot in his mouth.

Rudolph will play Shirle, Moose’s demanding boss, an R&B diva whose heyday was in the 90s. Smith will play Curtis, a “New Atlanta” teenager, who is Langston’s rowdy neighbor with unpredictable interests and suspicious income. Both are set to recur if the pilot goes to series.

Hannibal (NBC)

Glenn Fleshler has joined the cast of NBC’s Hannibal

Fleshler will portray Cordell, the attentive and creepy doctor in Season 3. A character from Thomas Harris’ “Hannibal” novels, Cordell cares for the disfigured Mason Verger.

Here’s how the network describes Cordell:

The personal doctor to a disfigured Mason Verger, quiet, very intelligent, and definitely creepy. He is attentive and gentle with Mason, a professional who cares about his work but we get a sense he might be as sadistic as Mason Verger and a perfect fit to become his potential henchman

Rutina Wesley, of “True Blood,” signed on for the role of Reba McClane, a blind woman who is Dolarhyde’s last chance at humanity.

Jane The Virgin (The CW)

Rita Moreno has joined The CW’s “Jane the Virgin”

The Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, Tony and Golden Globe winning actress-singer will play Jane’s (Gina Rodriguez) paternal grandmother, making her mother to charismatic soap star Rogelio De La Vega (Jaime Camil). The character, lovingly called “Glam-ma,” debuts on Episode 18.
