TV Casting: THE WALKING DEAD, THE WAY, Jon Bernthal is The Punisher in DAREDEVIL [Updated]
The Walking Dead, The Way, Daredevil, and other TV productions have made recent TV show casting, TV movie casting, and TV directing news. These shows and movies air on AMC, Netflix, and Hulu.
The Walking Dead (AMC)
Corey Hawkins has joined the sixth season of The Walking Dead as a key member from the comics.
The Alexandria community will gain a key addition in the sixth season as actor Corey Hawkins has just been announced as a new recurring cast member. Hawkins will bring the important supplies forager, Heath to life when new episodes of The Walking Dead resume this Fall.
The Way (Hulu)
Michelle Monaghan (True Detective, Source Code) has been tapped as the female lead in the Hulu original drama series The Way (working title). Mike Cahill (Another Earth) will direct the first episode of the 10-episode series
The Way examines a family at the center of a controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power, with each episode taking an in-depth look at what it means to choose between the life we live and the life we want. Monaghan will play Sarah Cleary, a high level member of a controversial movement navigating the truths — and untruths — colliding in her life.
From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series (El Rey)
Demi Lovato will be joining the El Rey Network/Miramax supernatural crime saga “From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series” for season 2.
Madoff (ABC)
Blythe Danner (I’ll See You In My Dreams, Meet The Parents) and Lyne Renee (Strike Back) have joined the cast of ABC’s Madoff miniseries…Danner will play Ruth Madoff, the wife of Bernie Madoff, played by Richard Dreyfuss. Renee…will play Catherine, the unassuming owner of a fishing store and Andrew Madoff’s second wife.
Shades Of Blue (NBC)
Michael Esper (Nurse Jackie, Frances Ha) has booked a recurring role in Shades Of Blue, NBC’s straight-to-series drama directed by Barry Levinson…Esper…will play Donnie Pomp, a lieutenant with Internal Affairs who tries to drive a wedge between the characters Wozniak (Ray Liotta) and Harley (Lopez).
Girlfiends’ Guide To Divorce (Bravo)
Will Kemp and Daniel Lissing have signed on for recurring roles on the upcoming second season of Bravo’s Girlfiends’ Guide To Divorce.
AdvertisementKemp will play Scott, a charismatic, off-beat, handsome vegan baker at Jo’s shop. Lissing is Payton, an actor friend from Becca’s childhood.
