Multiple TV Shows Renewed, TV Show Orders, HBO, Netflix, Amazon, and BBC Premiere Dates

Netflix has renewed Trollhunters, Love, The OA, and Travelers. CBS has ordered a new pilot, SyFy has ordered two additional seasons for a horror series, and HBO has ordered a new series. Netflix, BBC America, HBO, and Amazon have announced the premiere dates for a number of their TV show programs.

Netflix has renewed Guillermo Del Toro’s Trollhunters for a second season. Season 2 of Trollhunters will 13 episodes long and will premiere in 2016. Anton Yelchin‘s voice will continue to appear on the series. The deceased actor recorded many episodes in advance before his untimely death at 27.

Netflix has renewed Love for a third season, Travelers, and The OA for second seasons.

Orders

CBS has ordered a pilot for Wisdom of the Crowd, which is “inspired by the notion that a million minds are better than one, it centers on a tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowd-sourcing hub to solve his own daughter’s murder, as well as revolutionizing crime solving in San Francisco.”

Syfy has ordered a third and fourth season for Channel Zero.

HBO has ordered the first season of a new TV series called Succession. Succession is “the saga of the Roys, a fictional American global-media family that is not only rich and powerful but also powerfully dysfunctional. It will explore family loyalty, international business, and the perils of power in the 21st century…Brian Cox stars in the 10-episode drama series as Logan, the patriarch of the Roy family who is tough and powerful, but aging fast in his role as the head of the international media conglomerate owned by his family. Then there’s Jeremy Strong as Kendall Roy, the eldest son of the family (from Logan’s second marriage) who acts as a division president at the family firm and is also the heir apparent to Roy family business. Kieran Culkin plays Kendall’s outspoken and fun-loving younger brother Roman, who still sits on the board of directors at the family firm, but doesn’t really work there anymore. Finally, Sarah Snook plays Shi (Siobhan), the only daughter in the Roy family.”

Premiere Dates

Netflix has set the premiere date for fifth season of Orange is the New Black for June 9, 2017.

BBC has set the premiere date for the fifth and final season of Orphan Black for June 10, 2017.

HBO has set the premiere date for Veep for April 16, 2017.

Amazon has set the premiere date for Catastrophe for April 28, 2017.
