X-MEN: APOCALYPSE (2016): Quicksilver to Make Appearance and Possible Solo Film in the Works

Evan Peters Quicksilver

Quicksilver Teased for X-Men: Apocalypse and Perhaps a Solo Film. Actor Evan Peter’s Quicksilver on X-Men: Days of Future Past became a fan favorite after the film released. But this isn’t the end of the character, according to second unit director Brian Smrz.

Speaking with Newsarama, Brian Smrz said that there is a fun scene planned for the speedy mutant in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse. “I’ll be working on the next X-Men for the next month or so part-time, and by the end of the year it’ll be full-time… There will be another Quicksilver scene, which I’m looking forward to. That’ll be fun.”

Brian was in charge of shooting the slow-motion scene for Quicksiler in the recent X-Men film. He went on to suggest that the character might get a chance to be in his own solo film. He even thought of directing the film himself if he had the chance. “We talked about Quicksilver before,” Smrz said about a possible solo film. “I’d love to do a Quicksilver as a solo film because there’s a lot to enjoy with that character.”

X-Men: Apocalypse will hit theaters on May 27, 2016. So are you all excited to see the return of Quicksilver in the next X-Men film and would you be willing to see him in a solo feature?
