Academy Awards 2020 Winners

Parasite, 1917, Ford v Ferrari, and the other Oscar winners of the 2020 Academy Awards have been announced. The 92th Annual Academy Awards is a film award show “accolade by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry, including directors, actors, and writers. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies in the world and is televised live in more than 200 countries annually. It is also the oldest award ceremony in the media.”

Parasite was the surprise winner of the Best Picture at the 2020 Academy Awards. I thought 1917 was a going to win as I thought Sam Mendes was going to win for Best Director. Bong Joon-ho and Parasite won in that category as well. Have American audiences finally grown up to where reading subtitles is not a hindrance?

Most of the other categories at the 2020 Oscars went to the actors and actresses that had been projected.
