AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D.: Providence TV Show clips, Plot & Promo Image

New TV show clips & poster for ABC‘s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. ‘Providence,’ the next episode of Agents‘ current Uprising story arc, takes the team out of its comfort zone, and places familiar characters in very unfamiliar settings & situations. After the events of the previous episode, Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg) & Co. went dark, understandably enough; but top ranked super secret agents don’t get to do that sort of thing without some… inquiry going into effect.

To that end, Marvel iconic character, U.S. Air Force Colonel Glenn Talbot (Adrian Pasdar), will be making his debut. Source fans will know the Talbot character as one of Bruce Banner/ the Hulk’s principal adversaries (along with General Ross, and the U.S. military’s Hulk Busters division), and a dogged pursuer, in general.

This week’s accompanying promotional poster art, part of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: The Art of Level Seven series, comes courtesy of Paolo Rivera. The print depicts Coulson & crew going “into the cold,” as it were, while also noting the new dynamic between Ward (Brett Dalton) and Raina (Ruth Negga). The highlight of the piece, however, is the somewhat subtle incorporation of the HYDRA symbol into the S.H.I.E.L.D. eagle.

A pair of clips highlight Ward’s new role, in the series, and the lead up to his meeting with Raina, from an entirely new direction.

Providence also stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, and  guest stars Bill Paxton, David Conrad, B.J. Britt, Patton Oswalt, and Patrick Brennan. It airs April 15, 2014, on ABC, at 9.00pm EST.
