AGENTS OF SHIELD: New Season 3 Promo Gives Lincoln a Codename [ABC]

Luke Mitchell Agents of SHIELD

Lincoln Gets a Superhero Codename in Season 3 Promo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Drawing closer to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s third season, the show has started to highlight some of the characters on the team. We start with Inhuman Lincoln Campbell, who now has a new name.

Actor Luke Mitchell played Lincoln in a recurring role during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s second season helping Skye harness her powers. After what transpired in the season finale, it looks like Lincoln will be part of the team when season three starts. He will be known as Sparkplug when he helps Coulson and Skye track down more Inhumans as part of the Secret Warriors. The promo gives us a quick summary of his powers, but no actually footage from season three.

With a name like Sparkplug, we would assume that he is based off of a Marvel Comics character, but unfortunately, he’s not. Although, his name does closely associate with is Spark, who is a pyrokinetic Inhuman aligned with season three villain Lash. Even though his character is different, there is always the possibility that Lincoln will have a combination between the TV show character and the comic counterpart.
