AFI Awards 2016 Winners

American Film Institute has selected its top ten films and ten television shows for 2016. Many of the selections for this year weren’t a surprise while a few were a surprise. For films, Moonlight, Hacksaw Ridge, Fences, and Silence were obvious choices for the 2016 AFI Awards. Hell or High Water was one of the unexpected picks. For television programs, Game of Thrones, Stranger Things, The Americans, and The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story were chosen, amongst others. I was disappointed that Westworld and The Leftovers didn’t make the cut this year.
