Beauty and the Beast Trailer 2

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures has released the second movie trailer for Beauty and the Beast (2017). This looks like a big, lavish, life-action version of story most are familiar with in some way, shape, or form. From everything on-screen, it looks as though Disney spared no expense on the production. I am not a fan of the CGI Beast (Dan Stevens) but he does fit with many-if-not-all of the other CGI elements in the trailer. I have not seen the animated version of Beauty and the Beast in decades but this trailer brings back memories. Like the live-action version of The Jungle Book, this should be another hit for Disney.

Beauty and the Beast‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, “Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.”
