Box Office May 15-17, 2015. Pitch Perfect 2 premiered in the Number One spot at the box office over the weekend with $70.3 Million. Mad Max: Fury Road premiered in Second Place with $44.4 Million. Avengers: Age of Ultron was Third with $38.8 Million for $372 Million so far. Hot Pursuit was Fourth with $5.7 Million. Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 was Fifth for the second week in a row with $5.7 Million. Furious 7, The Age of Adaline, Home, Ex Machina, Home, and Far from the Madding Crowd rounded out the top ten respectively.

Pitch Perfect 2 is a 2015 American musical comedy film directed by Elizabeth Banks and written by Kay Cannon. It is a sequel to the 2012 film Pitch Perfect, which was loosely adapted from Mickey Rapkin’s non-fiction book, titled Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate A Cappella Glory. The film centers on the fictional Barden University and The Bellas, an-all female a capella singing group. The film features an ensemble cast that includes Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Ester Dean, Hana Mae Lee, and Alexis Knapp.

Mad Max: Fury Road is a 2015 Australian post-apocalyptic action thriller film directed, produced, and co-written by George Miller, and the fourth film of Miller’s Mad Max franchise. The first film of the franchise in 30 years, Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as “Mad” Max Rockatansky, who replaces Mel Gibson in the title role, along with Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, and Hugh Keays-Byrne.

The film is set in a future desert wasteland where gasoline and water are scarce commodities. When cult leader Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne) sends Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) off in an armored tanker truck to collect gasoline, he sees her drive significantly off route. Joe sends his entire army in pursuit of her, which leads to a lengthy road battle, which sees one of Joe’s captives, Max (Tom Hardy), joining forces with Furiosa. The film had its world premiere on 7 May 2015 at the TCL Chinese Theatre.
