BROOKLYN (2015) Movie Trailer 2: Saoirse Ronan Debates Between Lovers

Brooklyn Trailer 2

Brooklyn Trailer 2. John Crowley‘s Brooklyn (2015) movie trailer stars Saoirse Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Michael Zegen, Emory Cohen, and Julie Walters. Brooklyn‘s plot synopsis: based on the book by Colm Tóibín, “BROOKLYN tells the profoundly moving story of Eilis Lacey (Saoirse Ronan), a young Irish immigrant navigating her way through 1950s Brooklyn. Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City. The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her new vivacity is disrupted by her past, and she must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.”

According to FirstShowing, “From the early buzz this is supposed to be one of the better films of the year, as it first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is playing at TIFF, New York and the London Film Festivals.” Regarding the New York Film Festival – I’ll be at that screening, and will be sure to report back for a proper review here at Film-book.

I grew up in Hamburg to a German father and Ecuadorian mother. Obsessive student of film, Hip-Hop, and stand-up comedy. I love the dark dreambox that is the cinema auditorium. I love mountains and the ocean, but am equally exhilarated by the jungle of the city. I hope to one day create something that hits someone in the brain with thunderous effect.
